The attorney will represent both landlords and tenants in high-value and strategically important leasing matters across a range of asset classes, including office, industrial, life sciences, laboratory, retail, and mixed-use properties. The role offers meaningful autonomy, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to manage transactions from initial term-sheet negotiations through lease execution and ongoing portfolio counseling.

The anticipated base salary range is $250,000–$320,000, depending on experience, qualifications, office location, market considerations, and internal equity. Additional compensation and a comprehensive benefits package may also be available.
Job Details
Key Responsibilities Represent landlords and tenants in all aspects of complex commercial leasing transactions. Draft, negotiate, and revise leases, letters of intent, term sheets, amendments, assignments, subleases, renewals, expansions, guaranties, recognition agreements, and related documents. Advise clients on business and legal issues involving rent structures, operating expenses, construction obligations, use restrictions, exclusivity provisions, assignment rights, insurance, indemnification, defaults, remedies, and termination rights. Manage leasing transactions from inception through closing with limited supervision. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, brokers, property managers, and other transaction participants. Counsel clients on leasing strategy, risk allocation, portfolio management, and ongoing landlord-tenant matters. Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on related acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development projects, construction matters, zoning, land use, and permitting. Supervise and mentor junior attorneys where appropriate. Contribute to client-development efforts and the continued growth of the real estate practice. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of substantive commercial real estate leasing experience. Extensive experience representing both landlords and tenants is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to independently lead and close sophisticated leasing transactions. Experience with office, industrial, life sciences, laboratory, retail, or mixed-use leasing. Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines efficiently. Excellent judgment and a practical, business-oriented approach to client counseling. Strong client-service skills and a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and professionals across practice areas. Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development, construction, zoning, permitting, or land-use matters is a plus. Admission in Massachusetts or New York, depending on office location, is required or must be obtainable promptly.
