We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing engineering team, as well as optimizing manufacturing processes and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of laser systems, repair, mechanical, and capital equipment. If you have a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for efficiency, and a desire to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead a team of manufacturing engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficiency and productivity.
2. Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency.
3. Coordinate with the management team to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of manufacturing systems, making necessary adjustments or improvements for optimal operation.
5. Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
6. Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
7. Oversee the repair and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, creating a safe and healthy work environment for all staff.
9. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and address issues, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on laser systems, repair, mechanical, and capital equipment.
3. Proven experience in managing and optimizing manufacturing processes and systems.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
6. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
7. Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to plan, coordinate and oversee projects to completion.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
9. Proficient in the use of computer software related to manufacturing processes and systems.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
